DESCRIPTION: Illinois Watch Co., Springfield, Illinois, "Santa Fe Special", 16 size, 21 jewels, stem wind and lever set, adjusted to positions and temperature, damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, double roller and whiplash micrometric regulator, in a yellow gold filled, screw back and bezel, nicely engraved, Santa Fe Watch Co. open face case, with, Montgomery Arabic numeral, double sunk white enamel dial, marked "Santa Fe Special" and "Illinois" over the seconds bit, blued steel spade and poker hands, serial #4955082, c1927
CONDITION: CASE: Not original to the movement; A few minor dings ; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Engraving with minor wear. DIAL: Spider hairlines, 3:00; Tiny flake in enamel concealed by bezel, 10:30. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on plate; Minor staining on regulator and regulator spring; One case screw replaced. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
